Playing a Blank Letter Tile

If you play a word that uses a blank letter tile, after pressing 'Done' on your rack, the blank letter tile face becomes a '?' and the letter tile is raised from the board. (The mouse cursor will disappear). You now have to assign the blank letter tile a character. You can simply press the desired letter on your keyboard or you can scroll through the alphabet until you have the desired letter by using the mouse wheel or the [Up / Down] keys. To confirm your selection either press the [Return] key or the mouse middle button. If you need to get out of the blank letter tile setting mode immediately then press the [Escape] key.

The mouse cursor will reappear and you must press the 'Done' button to play this word. If the word is acceptable then the game will proceed.

If you decide not to proceed after assigning a character to the blank letter tile, you can reset the blank letter tile by picking up the blank letter tile with the mouse and dropping it again.

If you play a word that contains two blanks then you will need to select the blank letter tile that you want to alter. To select the active blank letter tile you can use the cursor [Left / Right] keys or the [Tab] key. Alternatively you can use the mouse left and right buttons.
